Trainer in Computer Support & Repair "VIRTUAL AT FIRST" | HOPE Project has been working with street children and exploited youth since 2001. Our biggest struggle is finding meaningful work for older street and slum youth who are too old to go back to school. At the same time, there is a pressing need of a standardized computer repair service. There are local computer repair services. For the most part, when they are asked to fix a complicated computer problem, they reformat the hard drive and load it up with unlicensed software. Computer problems are never ending in Laos, especially with all the unlicensed software being used. The slum youth’s need for meaningful work, and the ongoing need of standardized computer repair are two untapped opportunities that can both compliment and benefit each other. A computer repair business would serve the following beneficial objectives: 1. At-risk slum and street children escape the cycle of poverty, exploitation, and/or drug trafficking, through the provision of life skills development, meaningful work, steady income, and mentoring. 2. Professional computer support and IT services for organizations and individuals who need it. 3. Self-sustaining income for HOPE Project |

Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for Ethiopian Addis Kidan Baptist | The professional we expect should have experience in working with developmental project activities or understands the basics of project planning and implementation. We do have a number of projects which fall under the supervision of the head office or from EAKBCWDA (Ethiopian Addis Kidan Baptist Church Welfare and Development Association). These implementers pass through every project phase starting from initiation of the project up to the project closure. The monitoring and evaluation expert who we are looking for will be the person who can help design an internal project reporting process and set milestones that we can use to determine if the project is progressing as intended. Second, the P & E professional should be able to help us identify areas that need improvement throughout the life of the grant. There are a number of donors who support us and many stakeholders, such as the government, communities, and beneficiaries, so we should be as effective as possible to satisfy these stakeholders needs and our mission in line. In this regard ensuring the process of our project’s performance towards goals must be detected and measured to fill the gaps and achieve the desired end goal. This also needs a successful evaluator who can manage the research and evaluate the office for efficiency and effectiveness, with full consideration of the context within which we work. We expect the professional to develop, negotiate, and publish an annual agenda and a professional who helps us develop and/or amend our vision, goals, core beliefs, and objectives according the “SMART” format |

Male Mentor for Youth Ministry (Virtual or In-Person) | PHARP requests a male youth ministry worker who will work alongside the PHARP youth field coordinator to disciple youths and help them identify their purpose in life in order to make impact in their generation; and to help them set up an income generating venture to improve their standards of life. The male mentor missionary shall help youths be followers of Jesus, be a mentor-friend, display spiritual leadership and help in setting up peace clubs in schools as a strategy for evangelism and peacebuilding. The missionary together with the PHARP team will seek to create a fun, stimulating and safe environment where young people from the ages of 13–21-year-olds will meet to engage with each other and have fun in an atmosphere where they can also invite others. The aim is to transform lives, equip them for effective service and encourage them to grow spiritually and reach out to other, while serving as a spiritual leader and role model to the youths. The Male Mentor missionary shall also work hand in hand with the PHARP field officer to build a youth work team which shall also be known as ‘youth peace ambassadors’. Through this team, help plant fresh expressions of church and community work amongst disaffected young people. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people of all faiths and in a variety of settings. Last but not least, the volunteer missionary will also help the youth in solving their daily conflicts and involve others to do the same. In this way our communities will learn to practice justice toward each other. He has to also have a teachable spirit and be ready to understand the context of PHARP’s mission in Kenya. |
