| Description | The Baptist Theological College (BTC) of Southern Africa was established in 1951 by the Baptist Union of Southern Africa. Its purpose is to prepare pastors to serve in Baptist churches. Building on its Baptist heritage, today the College welcomes students from all denominations who seek to equip themselves for Christian ministry. The BTC is currently seeking qualified professors to teach Biblical Studies, including Old and New Testament disciplines, to serve the College in a missionary capacity. Candidates from other academic disciplines may also be considered. The ideal service commitment ranges from six months to three years. Faculty responsibilities would include teaching in-person classes of approximately ten students, as well as engaging with 20 to 50 distance-learning students through the BTC’s online learning management system. Responsibilities also include grading two to three assignments per course and administering a final examination each semester. A heart for advanced discipleship of contact students, to equip them for service globally, in the Kingdom of God, along with limited intentional discipleship of distance students across Africa, via the internet. |
