In the last several years I have had the opportunity to walk beside some of the most resilient people I have ever met. As strong as they may be, asylum seekers are also among the most vulnerable people on earth. I have met them on dirt paths and busy highways, beside tropical rivers and humid jungles. Their strength is evidenced by all they have done in order to survive, and by the thousands of miles they have traveled in order to save their families. At this point in history, there are few places they can reach where they will find welcome. Increasingly they are seen almost everywhere as criminal and unwanted.
But if you could know them as I have been privileged to know them, and to hear their stories, your heart would melt.
As I walk this week, I walk with them. Everyday I will share some of their stories so that you might know them too. Please join with me in prayer this week, and consider supporting this ministry. I will be walking 50 kilometers from Monday to Friday and I would love it if you would consider making a contribution which would help me reach my $10,000 goal.
