| Description | The Vanga Evangelical Hospital is a major teaching hospital in Kwilu Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The hospital is a part of a network of 14 Baptist hospitals of IM’s partner, the Baptist Community of the Congo (CBCO). This hospital is seeking long or short-term volunteer(s) to teach English to medical residents. While in-person volunteers are always welcome, this role can also be conducted virtually. Volunteer candidates should be native English speakers. The following competencies are beneficial but not absolutely necessary: • Experience with English as a second language instruction • A working knowledge and/or proficiency in French • A working knowledge of medical terminology Candidates will need to organize the content for each session and provide feedback to each student on their progress.
