| Description | Join the team led by International Ministries staff on this 11-day/10-night Mission Trip to Turkiye (Turkey) & SAT-7 annual meeting. Maximum of 20 people in the team. Turkey – Asia Minor in New Testament times – is sometimes referred to as the “Forgotten Bible Land” as more biblical sites are to be found here after Israel/Palestine than any other country. Approximately two thirds of the books of the New Testament were written either to or from church communities in Turkey. Major apostles such as Paul, Peter, and John all ministered here; so, this land is crucially important in understanding the background to the NT. Here is the planned schedule for this discovery and learning trip: Day 1: Depart U.S. (Spring 2024) Day 2: Arrive Istanbul; transfer to hotel (Spring 2024) Day 3: A.M. – Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar P.M. – SAT-7 Türk Studio visit Day 4: A.M. – Hippodrome, St. Sophia, Blue Mosque P.M. – Bosphorus cruise, Spice Market Day 5: A.M. – Archeology Museum, Byzantine Cisterns P.M. – Flight to Izmir Day 6: Pergamum and Thyatira Day 7: Smyrna, Sardis, Philadelphia Day 8: Laodicea, (Hierapolis & Travertines) Day 9: Aphrodisias; on to Kusadasi Day 10: Ephesus, Terrace Villas, St. John’s Basilica P.M. – Dinner in Selcuk; flight to Istanbul Day 11: Return to U.S (Spring 2024) A $300 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WILL SECURE YOUR SPOT.
