| Description | The Center for the Development of Persons with Disabilities (CDPD) is a leading organization in the care of persons with disabilities in Thailand, focused on quality of life for disabled persons and their families. Volunteers will assist staff and teachers with the treatment and care of people with disabilities. The clients at CDPD vary in age. Volunteers with professional experience in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and staff in developing and carrying out programs that would assist the individual client and his/her needs. Volunteers may also have the opportunity to travel with CDPD staff to remote villages to perform needs/progress assessments, assist in developing at-home care programs, and may also assist in creating/fitting equipment that could further assist individual client’s mobility while living at their place of residence. |
| Skills Needed | Special Ed, Rehabilitation Counseling, OT, PT, Speech Therapy experiences, academic studies preferred. |
