| Description | HEAL Africa is seeking an advisor for children’s activities. The many ministries listed above (dance, school, counseling, feeding, literacy & craft groups, outreach, etc.) are led primarily by young adults who rotate and change roles or graduate to other positions. Heal Africa seeks an open minded, kind-spirited, humble, energetic and called individual to mentor and encourage, pray with and sometimes shed tears with the leaders of our children’s ministries...to work in fellowship with the common goal to bring relief, compassion, and the love of Jesus to the hundreds of children who come to our campus daily for a multitude of needs. HEAL AFRICA is a faith-based hospital and social ministries center based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) whose mission is to provide holistic care to the most vulnerable populations of the DRC, in particular women and children. HEAL Africa operates on two adjoining campuses in the city of Goma located on historic Lake Kivu surrounded by a rim of volcanic mountains on the Congo-Rwanda border. The hospital campus, a 220-bed teaching hospital, provides advanced medical and surgical care to patients from across East Africa. Medical staff provide needed services such as cleft lip repair, hip replacement, burn & fistula treatment etc. while international foundations support comprehensive & holistic programs for victims of trauma, pediatric HIV, the disabled, deaf, and other needs. HEAL often hosts visiting international specialists from the U.S., Kenya and Australia. |
