Description The Emerging Leaders is an ongoing discipleship initiative for young adults at International Ministries. It is an initiative for individuals, ages 16 - 29 years old who are US citizens or legal residents. It is a 2-year discipleship program that supports and strengthens faith development and leadership skills in God-fearing young adults. The initiative fosters a journey of discernment with the young adults, who feel a call on their lives.

The members are divided into two main cohorts: "Connectors" are a cohort of individuals who are 16 - 20 years old and the "Trailblazers" are individuals who are 21 - 29 years old. The cohorts participate in bimonthly meetings, yearly retreats, two conferences and one short-term mission experience. The bimonthly meetings are virtual.

Any individual who meets the age requirements, must submit an online application. Each year, the applications are received during the month of October. Once an application has been received, two additional questions will be sent to the applicant, who needs to respond to the questions by October 30th. Incomplete applications will not be considered. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Minister Nicole Cox at elc@internationalministries.org

Once a young adult has been accepted into the cohort, a $45 registration fee will need to be processed by the young adult. For those 18 years old and over, a background check will need to be processed as well.

Accepted young adults into the 2024-2026 Emerging Leaders cohorts will attend a virtual retreat scheduled for mid July. The "Lesson Learned Retreat" is the kick off of the 2-year discipleship program.
