| Description | Emerging Leaders is an ongoing discipleship initiative for young adults at International Ministries. International Ministries strives to educate, encourage, and empower young adult Christians for a lifelong journey of being God’s salt and light around the globe. Emerging Leaders focuses on developing young adults from 16 to 29 years old who come from various denominations and backgrounds. We walk alongside you as you prepare to serve in God’s mission. Emerging Leaders are selected for cohorts divided into two age groups: Connectors (16 to 20 years old) and Trailblazers (21 to 29 years old). Each cohort has no more than twelve participants. Cohorts run on a two-year cycle and include: • Annual retreats • Bimonthly virtual meetings • Inspiring conferences • Prayer partnerships • Short-term mission experiences • Spiritual reflections • Leadership development REQUIREMENTS • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident to apply. • Applicants must be ages 16 -29 years old. • Applicants must be able to pass a background check if they are 18+ years old. Any individual who meets the above requirements may submit an online application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. NEXT STEPS AFTER APPLYING Once an application has been received, two additional questions will be sent to the applicant. Once the final application questions have been completed and the applicant has been accepted into a cohort, a $45 registration fee will need to be processed. Accepted young adults into the Emerging Leaders cohorts will attend a virtual retreat. This retreat kicks off the two-year Emerging Leaders program.
